An undercover sting operation targeting child exploitation in Hartford resulted in the arrest of four males.

On Friday, the FBI Crimes Against Children/Human Trafficking Task Force, the Southeast and Northeast community service officers, and the Hartford Police Major Crimes Division carried out an undercover sting at an unidentified hotel in the City of Hartford.

Police claim that undercover law enforcement agents conversed with the four males who were eventually taken into custody by posing online as the aunt of a fifteen-year-old girl.

Authorities claim that during their internet chats, the four males agreed to trade money for the right to have sex with a minor.

Detectives allegedly gave the four men a hotel room once they proved they had arrived at the establishment.

An undercover cop dressed as a juvenile greeted each of the four guys when they arrived at their hotel rooms, according to police reports. After that, each man was given custody.

The four individuals have been identified: Aqib Bakawala, 31, of Manchester; Jonathan Almonte, 32, of Hartford; Angel Rodriguez, 28, of East Haven; and Michael Huang, 35, of New York.
